Conditions and Terms of Sale

  1. "Carotte et Caviar : Un Chef Chez Vous" provides culinary services based on written estimates which include the date, the location of the event, the hours present, the number of guests, the menu, the details of the services included and the price.
  2. A written estimate is valid for thirty days from the date which appears on the estimate. After this time, "Carotte et Caviar: Un Chef Chez Vous" reserves the right to revise the estimate according to current market conditions.
  3. The hours present are indicated on the written estimate; these hours include the clean-up. Additional hours imposed will be billed at thirty-five euros per hour or fraction thereof.
  4. All transactions conducted by Internet, electronic mail or telephone are subject to a seven day consensus period according to French laws on mail-order sales.
  5. The hourly rate does not include taxes; the French value-added tax (TVA) at a rate of 19.6% is applied to the hours billed. The purchase of food stuffs and any material or utensils necessary for the event are at the expense of the client and shall be billed to the client at original cost with a French "note de débours ("receipt for sums advanced") if the purchases are made by "Carotte et Caviar: Un Chef Chez Vous".
  6. A deposit equal to fifty percent of the total estimate is required to reserve the event. Payments can be made in cash, by check to the order of "Coopaname" (proper ID may be required), or by SWIFT bank transfer regardless of the amount. (Fees for foreign currency exchanges or transfers are at the client's expense.)
  7. In case of cancellation of the event, a portion of the deposit will be retained: 21 days before the event, 75 % will be refunded; between 20 and 7 days before the event, 50 % will be refunded; less than 7 days before the event the deposit will not be refunded.
  8. The balance due is payable at the end of the event. Payment can be made in cash, by check to the order of "Coopaname" (proper ID may be required) or by SWIFT bank transfer regardless of the amount. (Fees for foreign currency exchanges or transfers are at the client's expense.)
  9. For "business clients" the balance due will be invoiced and the invoice mailed following the completion of the event. Payment can be made in cash, by check to the order of "Coopaname" (proper ID may be required) or by SWIFT bank transfer regardless of the amount. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice.
  10. "Carotte et Caviar: Un Chef Chez Vous" reserves the right to decline an event which is not within its professional capacities.
  11. "Carotte et Caviar: Un Chef Chez Vous" is insured for all events by SACM, contract number 37 503/5 401.854 87.
  12. Any accident, general strike, or act of God voids the responsibilities of "Carotte et Caviar: Un Chef Chez Vous" concerning the contract established by the signed, written estimate.
  13. Any litigation concerning the execution of the contract established by the signed, written estimate will only be addressed by "Tribunal de Commerce de Paris."
